The family is Growing, but focus remains ministry, to the glory and praise of OUR God!
It is July of 2011. We are all in India together for perhaps the last time, though I sorely hope this is not so. Our daughters are grown now. Lois graduated from college this year! India has two more years to go. Next month Lois will be married to the man of her dreams and a man that we believe is God's best for her. His name is Joshua Ormsby and they met at college. He has made a trip to India to see the life that made her who he has fallen in love with. After marriage they will be beginning the process of deputation and moving to Italy to plant churches.
Also in India with us this year is a young man who is a special friend to India. His name is Zachary Werner; you will be learning more about him in the future too, but here are pictures of both of these young men.

We are the Rasquinha family; Our family began in September of 1987 when Harry and Cindyann were married. We made our first trip to India that very year together spending Christmas there with Harry's family and friends. In June of 1989 Lois was born. We named her for our mothers, Lois and Severine. Between her birth and India's we began to sense the Lord wanting us to commit to full-time service. We did this early in 1991, while living in California, under the pastorate of Phil Coulter of Highland Baptist Temple. We did not know where our service would be or in what capacity we would serve. In September of 1991 India our youngest was born. We planned to name her Peter Gordon, after our fathers, but that name did not suit our lovely little girl, so we decided on India Mae, never dreaming that one day we were coming to India as ambassadors for Christ! We moved to Florida that very month and closed on a house on our wedding anniversary, the 27th of September. We became more involved with worldwide evangelization in our church, but taught Sunday School as well as serving in various ministries. It was a good time and then in early 1994, everything changed in a very big way. We committed to go to India as ambassadors, following the example set by the Apostle Paul. More than 15 years have passed and it is more than evident that God intended our family to be among the few carrying the light of the Gospel into Asia, to the very city that my husband knows so well. His knowledge of Mangalore and India has given us advantages there that are too innumerable to name. Because Lois and India have spent so much time in India with the people, they shift cultures very easily and are becoming increasingly fluent in the state language and somewhat familiar in others. We have home-schooled our daughters using the ACE curriculum, exclusively, which we have used with ease and success since they became school age. Central Christian Academy in Winter Park, Florida iwas a great help to us in educating them and making sure that we keep them on track with their education. Lois is in her second year of college at Landmark Baptist College in Haines City, Florida. She is focusing on her piano and voice; she is thrilled with college life and thriving there in this school. India is now a college student too; she began her freshman year as a "directed studies student" with Landmark Baptist College and is joining her sister on campus at Landmark this fall. Watching my daughters mature in their knowledge of God and their faith must be among the most wonderful of all blessings upon this earth. It is good to know that my children walk in truth!
